The government of Curaçao needed its aging systems renewed. Together with a local partner, Reemo formed a team of 16 developers and built a modern, web-based cadastre and land registration platform, from architecture to delivery.
The government of Curaçao ran on aging systems that were due for replacement. Together with a local partner we formed a team of 16 developers and got to work: opening up the legacy, redesigning processes and building a modern, web-based foundation that can be managed locally. Knowledge of the old systems and modern engineering power came together in one team.
We built a modern cadastre and land registration platform on Next.js, with a shared data model that runs both on-premise on SQL Server and in the cloud on Azure SQL. Parcels, owners, rights, transactions and deeds come together with interactive GIS maps, workflows for requests such as splitting, merging and transfer, e-signing, certified extracts and portals for citizens, surveyors and notaries. A full audit trail and version control keep every change in geometry and ownership traceable.
